KUALA LUMPUR: The injuries discovered during the post-mortem on Zara Qairina Mahathir are consistent with a fall, federal police said.
Federal police Criminal Investigation Department (CID) director Datuk M. Kumar said the injuries were consistent with previous findings, which indicated they were sustained due to a fall.
“The post-mortem on Aug 10 was conducted by three doctors — one from Serdang Hospital and two from Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Kota Kinabalu.
“It found that the cause of death was consistent with the initial diagnosis, which was due to severe traumatic brain injury with hypoxic-ischaemic encephalopathy,” he told reporters today.
