Police are ready to fully cooperate with the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission in its investigation into two police officers allegedly involved in false claims.
Earlier today, an MACC source said two officers were among six people remanded for allegedly submitting false claims totalling RM15 million for the procurement of a maintenance contract.
Inspector-General of Police Razarudin Husain said the two officers, with the rank of superintendent and inspector, have been remanded for seven days beginning today, Bernama reported.
He said Bukit Aman’s integrity and standards compliance department looked into a maintenance contract last year and found improper payments to a company. The matter was reported to MACC for further action.
“We work with MACC whenever we uncover any corruption-related offences during the course of our investigations, including this case,” said Razarudin.
