KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 29 — Police are investigating an incident involving a Perodua Myvi that was surrounded and threatened by a group of motorcyclists near the Batu 13 Toll Plaza in Puchong yesterday morning, as seen in a viral video.

Serdang district police chief ACP Muhamad Farid Ahmad said the 52-year-old driver, a security guard, lodged a police report shortly after the incident.

He said the confrontation took place at about 4am, and investigators are still trying to determine the cause, Berita Harian reported.

About 20 motorcyclists are believed to have been involved, and efforts are under way to identify and arrest them.

The case is being investigated as mischief under Sections 427 and 279 of the Penal Code.

Police have urged the public not to speculate in ways that could disrupt the investigation and called on witnesses to come forward with information.

The 29-second video shows the driver’s car surrounded by motorcyclists on both sides and in front, appearing to block its path.

One rider was seen punching the driver’s side window and kicking the door, forcing the driver to slow down to avoid a more serious incident.
