Police: Man gunned down at Klang fuel station was on wanted list

SHAH ALAM, Nov 11 — The victim of a shooting incident at a petrol station in the Bukit Tinggi area of Klang last Friday has been identified as a wanted individual under the Security Offences (Special Measures) Act 2012 (Sosma).

police chief Datuk Hussein Omar Khan confirmed that the 34-year-old local man also had several prior criminal records.

He said investigations are focusing on various angles, taking into account the victim’s background, with seven statements recorded so far from the victim’s wife, family members and witnesses.

“The investigation is still ongoing. The post-mortem has been completed, and the cause of death was determined to be multiple gunshot wounds to the chest and abdomen. The body has been released to the family for burial,” he said.

Hussein said this at a press conference held to highlight the achievements of the Commercial Crime Investigation Department and the Internal Security and Public Order Department.

In the incident, which occurred at around 11pm last Friday, a suspect reportedly fired several shots at the front of a car, fatally striking the victim, who was unemployed and seated inside. — Bernama
