SUBANG JAYA: The discovery of the body of a college student in his 20s inside a home in Subang Jaya has been classified as murder.
Subang Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Wan Azlan Mamat, in a statement on Sunday (Aug 17), said that the police were informed of the discovery at a home in USJ 2/1of the find on Aug 14.
“The victim’s father had found the body in the living room of the house.
“A post-mortem examination conducted by a pathologist at Serdang Hospital confirmed the cause of death as bleeding around the neck bone (hyoid bone).
“The injuries to the muscle and bone areas are deemed to have resulted from manual strangulation.
“The case is being investigated under Section 302 for murder,” he said.
ACP Wan Azlan added that no items were also stolen from the home, no motives have been identified and no arrests have been made.
