YAN: Police are tracking down the ex-husband of a woman who was found dead with multiple stab wounds alongside a man in Taman Nona, Guar Chempedak, near here last night.

Yan district police chief Superintendent Mohd Hamizi Abdullah said the man is being sought to assist in investigations into the incident, which occurred about 9pm.

He said police were also investigating to establish the actual motive.

“We will conduct a thorough investigation from all angles to

resolve this case as soon as possible,” he said today.

It was earlier reported that a man and a woman were found dead with stab wounds on their bodies, believed to have been murdered, in Taman Nona last night.

The 28-year-old woman was discovered in the front seat of a Proton Wira parked in front of a house, while the man was found lying face down on the road in the housing area not far from the car.

The case is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.
