SUBANG JAYA: A motorcyclist is believed to have been abducted by a group of men after he was forcibly shoved into a lorry following a fight in the middle of the road along Jalan Persiaran Puchong Permai here yesterday.
The incident went viral on social media after a 40-second video clip was uploaded by a user who recorded the incident using their mobile phone.
Several men can be seen assaulting a man, believed to be the motorcyclist, before forcibly shoving him into the back of the vehicle.
The group continued to beat the man as they forced him into the lorry.
Subang Jaya district police chief Assistant Commissioner Wan Azlan Wan Mamat confirmed that the incident took place along Persiaran Puchong Permai at 6.38pm.
“Initial information received from a member of the public stated that a male victim was taken away by three men in the lorry following a fight at the location,” he said in a statement.
It is learnt that the fight stemmed from an accident that occurred just before the victim was attacked.
He said police are tracking down both the suspects and the victim, and investigations are ongoing to determine the motive and full circumstances surrounding the incident.
Wan Azlan urged those with information to come forward.
