Police FC vow to clear their 'summons'

KUALA LUMPUR: Police FC have vowed to resolve the issue of unpaid salaries that have affected the club since last season.

Police group chief executive officer Roslan Abu Bakar said he and his team are currently going through every financial document and report linked to the club’s debts after taking over the management of The Cops a few months ago.

“I want to make it clear that Police will not run away from its duty to settle all outstanding wages,” he said.

“To be fair, I have only recently taken over the club’s management, and I am still reviewing the documentation related to the arrears.

“What I can confirm is that we are fully committed to paying the RM70,000 fine imposed by the Malaysian Football League (MFL) and ensuring all matters are handled properly.”

The MFL announced yesterday that both Police and The Real Warriors were fined RM70,000 over unresolved salary issues.

Roslan said the club’s priority is to settle all salary issues and restore the team’s operations so that Police can regain stability and compete without off-field problems.

“My focus is to find the best way to settle all debts owed by Police so the players can perform without issues this season.”
