KUALA LUMPUR: Police investigations into the death of Zara Qairina Mahathir have confirmed elements of bullying.
Bukit Aman Criminal Investigation Department director Datuk M. Kumar said a special task force uncovered statements indicating bullying occurred before the incident involving Zara.
“Previously, there was no legal provision to take action against bullying, but since July 11, a special provision has been put in place to curb bullying under Section 507D (2) of the Penal Code.
“Investigations into this are ongoing and we will refer the investigation paper to the Attorney General’s Chambers soon,” he told reporters today.
