PETALING JAYA: A police report has been lodged against the administrator of Perak Umno‘s Facebook page for allegedly slandering former Perak Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Ahmad Faizal Azumu.
According to a Facebook post by Perikatan Nasional, the report was filed by Ahmad Faizal’s team, who claimed that Perak Umno insinuated that the Bersatu vice president had approved 103 pigsties in the state during his tenure as mentri besar.
The allegation against Ahmad Faizal was reportedly made on Facebook.
Ahmad Faizal served as Perak mentri besar from 2018 to 2021.
“Although the statement was said to have been withdrawn from the page, no public apology or correction was made. It is only right to lodge a police report to impede any political slander which was made to deny any failure (in resolving) the people’s issues for years,” the statement read.
