KUALA LUMPUR: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ibrahim has extended his greetings to all leaders and delegates attending the 2025 General Assembly.

He expressed hope that the assembly would proceed in an orderly manner and feature substantive, people-focused discourse.

said the gathering should contribute to strengthening national unity in line with the Malaysia MADANI vision.

He stated that Malaysia needs mature politics grounded in consensus, mutual respect and the ability to work together.

This cooperation is vital for stability, prosperity and a more just and inclusive future.

“Amid increasingly challenging political and economic landscapes, true strength does not come from perpetuating differences, but from reinforcing unity,” he posted on Facebook.

He added that it involves celebrating wisdom and sharing a collective commitment to prioritising the interests of the people and the nation.

Anwar also shared a photo of himself attending the General Assembly in 2023.

The 2025 assembly is being held from Jan 14 to 17 at the World Trade Centre Kuala Lumpur.

It was postponed twice in August and November last year to allow the party to focus on the Sabah state election.

The assembly brings together 6,412 delegates nationwide from the main wing and its affiliates.
