Sabah PKR tonight revealed that it will be contesting 10 seats in the state election when it unveiled its lineup, which includes the son of Sabah governor Musa Aman.
The party, which won two seats in the last state polls, has also dropped Christina Liew, the former Sabah PKR chief, from the lineup.
Yamani Hafez Musa, whose membership was subject to much speculation, will contest in Sindumin, which was held by Warisan previously.
Yamani, who is Musa’s eldest son, is a former deputy finance minister.
He won the Sipitang parliamentary seat on a Barisan Nasional ticket in the 2018 general election. He later joined Bersatu and did not defend the seat in the 2022 elections.
Liew’s omission from the lineup effectively ends speculation earlier this year that she would be dropped. She won the Api-Api seat in a nine-cornered fight in the state election in 2020.
In addition to Api-Api, PKR won Inanam, through Peto Galim.
