PETALING JAYA:
Pakatan Harapan is ready to cooperate with Barisan Nasional and Gabungan Rakyat Sabah in the upcoming Sabah state election, says Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim.
Anwar, who is also the PH chairman and PKR president, said he is committed to preventing any three-cornered fights, Bernama reported.
On July 27, GRS chairman Hajiji Noor announced that the Sabah ruling coalition and PH had agreed to form an alliance in lead-up to the election.
BN chairman Ahmad Zahid Hamidi previously said the coalition’s cooperation with PH in Sabah had been “locked in” since May.
However, with both BN and GRS not formally working with one another, the two coalitions are expected to clash in the state polls due to be held by the end of the year.
