KUALA LUMPUR: Petronas Energy & Gas Trading Sdn Bhd (PEGT) will deliver an additional 24 million standard cubic feet per day (MMscfd) of gas to the Puchong City Gate.
This is part of the company’s proactive efforts to stabilise gas supply in the wake of the recent pipeline incident in Putra Heights
In a statement today, the licensed gas shipper in Peninsular Malaysia said it is working closely with Gas Malaysia Bhd to increase the volume of gas distributed through the latter’s network, particularly to areas impacted by the disruption.
“The additional allocation is expected to further support gas supply stability in the isolated zone and improve the overall gas supply conditions.
“PEGT remains committed to supporting recovery efforts and will continue engaging with the relevant authorities and stakeholders in ensuring stability of gas supply to the affected areas,” it added.
Earlier today, Petronas Gas Bhd said it had resumed operations at the Puchong City Gate its efforts to restore gas supply in areas affected by the Putra Heights’ blaze three weeks ago.
