KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia-based Pet Universe Nourish and Thailand’s International Pet Food Co Ltd (IPF), a subsidiary of CP Foods, have entered into a strategic partnership to strengthen regional collaboration in premium and sustainable pet food manufacturing.
The agreement was formalised at a signing ceremony in Kuala Lumpur attended by Pet Universe Nourish chief executive officer Patrick Chin and IPF president Kitisak Limamphai.
The event was witnessed by Tengku Faizwa Tengku Razif, representing the Malaysia International Economic and Social Development Association (Miesda).
INNOVATING PET NUTRITION IN ASEAN
The partnership aims to co-develop science-based and human-grade pet food formulations, enhance manufacturing and supply-chain efficiency across Asean and promote transparency and sustainability in production practices.
“This collaboration goes beyond partnership,” Chin said.
“It’s about creating innovative, premium pet food that gives pet parents complete peace of mind. Together, we will drive innovation, regional growth and industry leadership in Asia’s pet nutrition sector,” he added.
Limamphai said the alliance extends IPF’s longstanding commitment to human-grade quality and responsible production into the pet-food category.
“At IPF, we are committed to delivering food products of the highest quality with integrity and sustainability.
“This partnership with Pet Universe Nourish builds a bridge between Thailand, Malaysia, and the world, and strengthens our leadership in the global pet wellness industry,” he said.
HUMANISING PET NUTRITION
Pet Universe Nourish, established in Malaysia and originally founded in the United Kingdom, focuses on humanising pet nutrition through transparent labelling, science-driven formulations, and sustainable sourcing.
The company operates within a wider Pet Universe Group that includes veterinary services, grooming, and pet hospitality.
IPF, formed in 2004 and part of CP Foods’ agrifood network, manufactures pet food and treats to human-food safety standards and holds multiple Thai and international certifications for environmental management and labour responsibility.
The collaboration supports the Asean 2025 theme of “Inclusivity and Sustainability,” emphasising ethical sourcing and cross-border trade within one of Asia’s fastest-growing consumer sectors.
Pet Universe Nourish currently markets its Vitality and Heritage collections of dog and cat food, which focus on digestive care, hypoallergenic diets and superfood-based nutrition.
Products are distributed in Malaysia, Thailand, Hong Kong, and Brunei.
