KANGAR, Aug 5 (Bernama) — The Perlis state legislative assembly was told today that the Perlis Smart City Draft Plan 2030 was at the final review and improvement phase at the committee level and is expected to be launched in September.
Perlis Housing and Local Government, Information and Digital Committee chairman Perlis Asrul Aimran Abd Jalil said the draft plan is divided into seven components – Smart Government, Smart Economy, Smart People, Smart Living, Smart Mobility, Smart Environment and Smart Digital Infrastructure.
“The final Perlis Smart City Draft Plan 2030 has been presented by the Perlis PLANMalaysia director as the representative of the core team during the Perlis Smart City Draft Plan 2030 steering committee meeting chaired by the state secretary on May 15,” he said in reply to a question by Megat Hashirat Hassan (PN-Pauh) at the assembly sitting at Seri Putra Complex here today.
Asrul Aimran said the draft plan was created to determine the direction, strategy and actions a smart city has to take to tackle municipal challenges and issues faced by Perlis through the application of the latest technology and in support of service digitalisation efforts for the public.
