KUALA LUMPUR: Perlis Menteri Besar Mohd Shukri Ramli has described Pas‘ decision to sack three of its members, who are Perlis state assemblymen, with immediate effect as proof that the party continues to uphold the principles, discipline and trust that underpin its struggle.
In a Facebook post, Mohd Shukri said the action demonstrated that the party’s principles remain firmly upheld by its leadership.
“Alhamdulillah, everything happens for a reason.
“The action taken by the Pas central working committee proves that the principles, discipline and trust of the party’s struggle are always upheld.
“May Allah grant goodness in this world and the hereafter,” the statement read.
Last night, Pas president Tan Sri Abdul Hadi Awang announced the sacking of Chuping assemblyman Saad Seman, Fakhrul Anwar Ismail (Bintong) and Mohd Ridzuan Hashim (Guar Sanji).
Abdul Hadi said the Pas central working committee meeting had decided, based on Clause 76 and Clause 15A(1)(b) of the Pas Constitution (2025 Amendment), to terminate the membership of the three assemblymen with immediate effect. No reasons were provided for the decision.
The sacking comes amid a leadership crisis involving Mohd Shukri, following claims that several assemblymen from Pas and Bersatu had withdrawn their support for him.
