SIBU, Sept 15 — Human rights activist and chairman of the Sarawak Dayak Iban Association (Sadia) Rajang branch Bill Jugah has been tipped to be nominated for the position of Parti Bansa Dayak Sarawak (PBDS) Youth chief at its Triennial Delegates Conference (TDC) here on Sept 18.
According to a source, five candidates have been nominated for the position, with two candidates declining while another has yet to submit their acceptance.
PBDS permanent chairman Dr John Brian Anthony and former PBDS president Bobby William have put forward their nominations for the presidency, while current president Major (Rtd) Moses Ripai is aiming for re-election, the source claimed.
Meanwhile, when contacted for confirmation, Bill was tight-lipped.
“Let us wait for the upcoming Triennial Delegates Conference, which is just a few days away.”
According to the notice of the TDC signed by Moses and published recently, the election of supreme council members for term 2025-2028 is among the agenda. The TDC is expected to start at 10.30am. — The Borneo Post
