Pahang urges telcos to resolve widespread network disruptions

Pahang demands faster action from telcos as network outages disrupt villages and tourism in Raub for three days.

KUANTAN: Telecommunication companies must act quickly to resolve ongoing network disruptions affecting multiple areas across the state.

Pahang Communication and Multimedia, Youth, Sports, and Non-Governmental Organisations Committee Chairman Fadzli Mohamad Kamal urged providers to be more serious and proactive in addressing the issue.

Severe communication line disruptions have persisted for three days in Kampung Pamah Kulat, Kampung Pamah Rawas, and Kampung Peruas in Raub.

“This situation is causing inconvenience to many parties, especially the villagers, traders, and tourists holidaying around Ulu Dong,” he said via Facebook.

Fadzli noted that complaints continue to increase daily while telcos take too long to resolve the problems.

He expressed disappointment that despite commitments made during an engagement session with telcos in September, service quality improvements have not materialised.

The chairman personally inspected telecommunication towers in the affected villages this afternoon to assess the situation firsthand. – Bernama
