Pahang Sultan Extends Aid To Family Affected By Kampung Cherok Paloh Fire

KUANTAN, Aug 5 (Bernama) — The thoughtful gesture and concern shown by the Sultan of Pahang, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah, have brought comfort and renewed hope to a family in Kampung Cherok Paloh whose home was recently destroyed by fire.

Earlier today, His Royal Highness spent over half an hour with the family of four affected by the incident, which occurred at around 4 pm last Sunday.

Al-Sultan Abdullah expressed his sympathy to Mohd Khiri Amri Abdul Halim, 33, his wife Nurzalina Mohd Jusof, 30, and their two children, aged four and eight, over the tragedy that befell their family.

“We will do everything possible to assist Mohd Khiri Amri, and I was informed that his wife is due to give birth soon. We will work on constructing a new home on the same plot, with the permission of the landlord, who is also the victim’s granduncle.

“YB (Inderapura assemblyman Datuk Seri Shafik Fauzan Sharif) has expressed his willingness to help find a boat, so that the victim can return to work as a fisherman,” said His Royal Highness during a visit to the scene here today.

Meanwhile, Mohd Khiri Amri said he was deeply touched by the Sultan of Pahang’s visit, describing the royal donation as a new source of hope for him and his family.

“His Royal Highness told me that he would help rebuild the house and assist with other basic necessities. He also said he would replace my boat, which was destroyed in the fire as it was kept inside the house,” he said.

Mohd Khiri Amri expressed relief over the assistance, saying it helped ease his burden as the head of the family, especially with his wife expected to give birth to their third child at any time.
