PUTRAJAYA, Aug 31 (Bernama) — More than 100,000 visitors thronged Dataran Putrajaya today for the National Day 2025 celebration, which ran smoothly in a festive atmosphere, said Communications Minister Datuk Fahmi Fadzil.
Fahmi, who is also chairman of the National Day and Malaysia Day 2025 (HKHM 2025) Main Organising Committee, said the celebration also featured 14,062 participants who took part in the parade and march past.
“Alhamdulillah, I was informed that the attendance figure, based on data obtained from Putrajaya Corporation (PPj), was more than 100,000,” he told reporters after the celebration, themed ‘Malaysia MADANI: Rakyat Disantuni’.
His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia, and Her Majesty Queen Raja Zarith Sofiah graced the celebration. Also present were Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, the two deputy prime ministers, Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi and Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof, Cabinet ministers and foreign dignitaries.
Fahmi said this year’s National Day performances also received praise from the Prime Minister, particularly the human graphic formation by 2,000 school students, which the latter described as the best in history.
