OSC Programme In Bandar Tun Razak Simplifies Aid Access For Community

KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 15 (Bernama) — The One Stop Centre (OSC) Social Wellbeing Programme, which brings together various government agencies under one platform, drew an encouraging response from residents when it was held in Bandar Tun Razak here today.

Bandar Tun Razak Member of Parliament Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail said the programme, coordinated by the Implementation Coordination Unit of the Prime Minister’s Department (ICU JPM), provides the public with easier access to assistance, information and socio-economic opportunities.

“Through this synergy, we can deliver aid and services more efficiently to those who need them the most,” she said when officiating the programme and the National Information Dissemination Centre (NADI) Hari Bersama Komuniti.

Also present were Prime Minister’s political secretary Datuk Azman Abidin, Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) commission member Prof Dr Mohamad Salmi Mohd Sohod, Agriculture Department director-general Datuk Nor Sam Alwi and ICU JPM deputy director-general Nik Shafiruddin Nik Shahar Shah.

Fifteen public and private agencies participated, including the Federal Territories Islamic Religious Council, the Social Welfare Department, the Malaysian Indian Community Transformation Unit (MITRA), Hospital Canselor Tuanku Muhriz and Tenaga Nasional Berhad.

The programme also included a Jualan Rahmah segment, offering essential goods at affordable prices.

Wan Azizah, who is also the Prime Minister’s wife, said MCMC, as a strategic partner, continues to support community empowerment through various initiatives, including the NADI HBK programme held concurrently today.

“I was informed that over 1.8 million individuals have registered as NADI members, with nearly 937,000 participations recorded in activities and training programmes nationwide.

“This proves that NADI is not only a hub for internet access but also a centre for learning, social networking and community development,” she said.

She also highlighted the achievement of NADI Pulau Banggi, Sabah, which recently earned international recognition by winning the World Summit on the Information Society Prizes 2025 in Geneva under the Capacity Building category, as a testament to the effectiveness of the NADI model in empowering grassroots communities.

Today’s programme also saw the presentation of Malaysian Good Agricultural Practices (MyGAP) certificates to the Seri Sabah 3A Public Housing Community Garden and the Sri Johor 4A Residents’ Association Community Garden, both recipients of the SEJATI MADANI incentive and among the earliest community groups in the Federal Territories to receive MyGAP certification.
