OnePlus 15 Specs in China

The OnePlus 15 is already available in China and it is among the first smartphones to be running on Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. On the surface, it looks like a rebranded Oppo Find X9 Pro but there are a couple of differences besides the chip under the hood.
While the OnePlus 15 offers a similar-sized 6.78″ LTPO AMOLED display with 2772×1272 pixels resolution, this flagship smartphone boasts a higher refresh rate of 165Hz (instead of 120Hz) for a more fluid visual experience. It still boast a peak brightness of 1800nits.
Instead of a Mediatek Dimensity 9500 chip, it runs on a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 that’s pared with either 12GB or 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage options of up to 1TB.

While the camera bump looks familiar, the OnePlus 15 doesn’t seem to feature Hasselblad co-engineered cameras. It gets a triple 50MP camera setup which consists of a 50MP f/1.8 main camera with OIS, a 50MP f/2.0 ultra-wide-angle camera and a 50MP f/2.8 telephoto camera with OIS, supporting 3.5x optical zoom and up to 120x digital zoom.
For selfies, the device gets a single 32MP front camera that sits in a punch-hole. The OnePlus 15 is capable of recording video up to 8K 30fps or 4K 120fps.

As you would expect from a flagship device, it supports 5G SA, WiFI 7 (802.11be) and Bluetooth 6.0.
For better durability, the OnePlus 15 also has IP68 / IP69K rated dust and water resistance.

Powering the OnePlus 15 is a 7,300mAh battery (slightly smaller than Oppo Find X9 Pro’s 7,500mAh) that’s rated to last up to 19 hours of video playback. It supports 120W fast charging via USB-C and 50W fast wireless charging.
According to OnePlus’ China product page, the device can be charged up to 50% in just 15 minutes and a full charge takes approximately 40 minutes.
So far we don’t have the pricing details just yet but we reckon that the OnePlus 15 should be priced lower than Oppo’s latest flagship smartphone. The recently launched Oppo Find X9 Pro with 16GB RAM + 512GB storage is priced at RM5,099 but customers can get it for RM4,999 during the pre-order promo period.
As a reference, the current OnePlus 13 which was launched in January this year is priced at RM4,399. At the time, the Oppo Find X8 Pro with 16GB RAM + 512GB storage was priced at RM4,999.
