#NSTviral: Netizens praise policeman for enforcing traffic rules on queue-cutters

KUALA LUMPUR: A video of a traffic policeman reprimanding motorists for cutting road queues has gone viral, drawing widespread praise from social media users.

The clip, uploaded by Teh Tarik TV, shows the policeman stopping his motorcycle before approaching several vehicles that had attempted to skip the queue by entering from another lane.

The policeman ordered the drivers to leave the lane, including those who had already managed to get in. One motorist was seen talking briefly with the policeman before complying and driving off, unable to join the intended lane.

The video has been widely praised online, with many commending the policeman’s actions.

“I will have a happy journey every day driving if we have more police officers like this,” said @Alvin Ho.

Rina Omar said: “Driving would be much less stressful if selfish queue-cutters get treated like this. I’d roll down my window just to laugh at them too.”

“They should have been fined. Take a photo and send them a fine. Only then will it be effective,” said Amid Rahman.

Ahmed Shafiq said: “Even those who had successfully cut the queue were told to move back. Serves you right.”

“Excellent policeman. He carried out his duty well. Thank you sir. You are an example to other police officers,” said Mus Kraken.
