KUALA LUMPUR: Ten highway concessionaires will not increase their tolls for the year 2026, says Datuk Fahmi Fadzil.
The government spokesperson and Communications Minister said that the Prime Minister had said this at the first Cabinet meeting held on Wednesday (Dec 17).
“For the year 2026 – details of which will be provided by the Works Ministry – ten highways concessionaires will not experience any toll rate increases.
“This decision has financial implications for the government, and the government will bear the costs. Further details will be issued in a statement by the Works Ministry,” Fahmi said at a post-Cabinet briefing on Thursday (Dec 18) at Angkasapuri here.
He said that the financial implications would be detailed by the Works Ministry.
“Regarding the financial implications, please refer to the Ministry of Works, as they have the detailed information,” said Fahmi.
