New MM2H centre at TRX boosts Malaysia's expat appeal

Malaysia’s first private-run MM2H centre opens at TRX, attracting RM730 million in foreign funds and property investments with streamlined services.

KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia’s first privately-operated one-stop centre for the Malaysia My Second Home (MM2H) programme has opened at The Exchange 106, TRX.

The launch ceremony was officiated by Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture (MOTAC) secretary-general Datuk Shaharuddin Abu Sohot.

Shaharuddin stated that attracting quality foreigners to settle in Malaysia strengthens the tourism sector and creates extensive economic benefits.

“The MM2H programme, under the supervision of MOTAC, continues to play a vital role in attracting expatriates and foreign investors seeking to build a life and opportunities in Malaysia,” he said.

As of July 2025, MOTAC recorded over 3,300 new MM2H applications involving approximately RM300 million in foreign funds and property investments exceeding RM430 million.

STF Revenue director of International Operations Jonathan Low Choon Wai said the TRX centre aims to streamline processes and provide comfortable, efficient services for participants.

“We want to make living in Malaysia easy, comfortable and appealing for international investors, retirees and professionals,” he stated.

The launch included a strategic partnership signing between STF Revenue and Rivertree Group to attract international property investors with visa assistance and long-term placement support.

Rivertree Group’s Datuk Simon David Leong emphasised that “when someone chooses Malaysia, they are not just buying a house or obtaining a visa, but building a life here.”

STF has also partnered with Batik Air, offering free round-trip tickets worth up to RM5,000 to eligible MM2H applicants.

Local bank collaborations will help new applicants open fixed deposit accounts and access financial advisory services.

STF Revenue, established in 2016, oversees workforce management, employee dormitories, cleaning services and technology-based management systems.

The group holds official licences for both MM2H and Premium Visa Programme operations alongside maid management services. – Bernama
