
KUALA LUMPUR: The Civil Defence Force on Monday (Nov 10) announced the appointment of former Defence Ministry Under-Secretary (Procurement) Mohammad Abiddin Abd Rahman as its new Chief Commissioner.
The agency, in a statement, said Mohammad Abiddin’s appointment took effect last Nov 3. He replaced Datuk Aminurrahim Mohamed, who has been appointed as Senior Division Secretary at the Communications Ministry.
Mohammad Abiddin, from Sandakan, Sabah, is a graduate of Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia with a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) and also holds a Master’s Degree in Human Resource Development from Universiti Putra Malaysia.
“He has over 25 years of experience in the public service, with expertise in various fields including management and procurement,” read the statement.
The Civil Defence Force also expresses its appreciation and gratitude to Aminurrahim for his leadership and contributions throughout his tenure with the agency. – Bernama
