PUTRAJAYA — The Education Ministry (MoE) has reportedly confirmed that the administrators of the Bandar Utama school involved in this morning’s student stabbing incident will be temporarily reassigned to the District Education Office (PPD).
According to BuletinTV3, Director-General of Education Mohd Azam Ahmad said the move was to ensure that investigations proceed smoothly and without interference.
“To assist investigations, the school administrators involved will be transferred to the PPD until the probe is completed,” he said at a special press conference earlier today.
Meanwhile, Mohd Azam reportedly said teaching and learning (PdP) sessions at the school will continue as usual and that the authorities’ investigation will not disrupt academic activities.
“A team of counsellors and guidance teachers has been mobilised to carry out psychosocial support intervention programmes for students, teachers and all school staff affected by the incident,” he said.
He added that the ministry is working closely with the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) to strengthen security measures in schools nationwide, including implementing additional steps to ensure school compounds are fully safe.
