The Education Ministry ignored reports of billions of mismanaged funds in a single project, as well as cases of child and sexual abuse, a former aide to former education minister Maszlee Malik told the High Court in Kota Kinabalu on Tuesday.
Testifying in Siti Nafirah Siman’s landmark teacher absenteeism suit against the government, former ministerial aide Shaza Scherazade Alauddin Onn said the ministry repeatedly covered up serious wrongdoing in cases where misconduct had been proven.
