SHAH ALAM: A teenage girl who was reported missing at 3pm yesterday has been found safe and in good health within 24 hours, police confirmed today.
Shah Alam police chief Assistant Commissioner Mohd Iqbal Ibrahim said the report of her disappearance and subsequent discovery was made by the teen’s family member.
“The missing teen was found safe and healthy in Section 18. A police report confirming her recovery was lodged by the family at 10.30am today, less than 24 hours after she was reported missing,” he said when contacted today.
He urged the public to stop circulating the missing person poster that had been widely shared online since midnight.
The 17-year-old girl, believed to be a student at a secondary school in Section 18, was last seen at the school premises around 3pm yesterday.
