KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) is considering legal action against X over its failure to ensure user safety in Malaysia.
Communications Minister Datuk Fahmi Fadzil said further details would be announced later.
“The government is weighing legal action against X for failing to guarantee the safety of users in Malaysia and other countries,” he said.
Fahmi added that the government had previously taken Telegram to court over similar concerns.
