KUALA LUMPUR: Bursa Malaysia opened higher for the third consecutive day, buoyed by the ringgit’s continued strength against the US dollar.
The stronger ringgit has shifted traders’ focus towards domestic-oriented sectors, particularly consumer stocks.
The benchmark index is expected to trade within the 1,630 to 1,640 today.
At today’s opening, the ringgit touched 4.12, its highest level in more than 13 months, supported by a softer US dollar following weaker US economic data.
In the crypto market, Bitcoin fell to RM425,717.
Ethereum rose to RM14,199, while Solana climbed to RM640.
That’s it for Market Pulse.
