KOTA KINABALU: A mannequin was brought into the Coroner’s Court today by defence lawyer Datuk Ram Singh and his team to assist pathologist Dr Jessie Hiu in her testimony during the inquest into the death of Form One student Zara Qairina Mahathir.
The mannequin will be used to demonstrate the position of the deceased and the injuries she sustained.
Dr Hiu is scheduled to continue her testimony by answering questions from the conducting officer representing the Attorney-General’s Chambers (A-GC) and lawyers representing the deceased’s parents and the five teenage defendants.
The lawyers for the five teenage defendants, who are facing bullying charges at the Court for Children, are also expected to cross-examine the pathologist.
