Man shot dead at Klang petrol station, says police

KLANG: A 34 year old unemployed local man was shot dead at a petrol station here.

police chief Comm Datuk Shazeli Kahar said the incident occurred at about 11.13pm on Friday (Nov 7).

“The South Klang district police control centre received a report from the public regarding gunfire at the petrol station,” he said on Saturday (Nov 8).

“Initial investigations revealed the victim was a 34 year old local man who was unemployed,” he added.

Comm Shazeli said it is believed the suspect fired several shots towards the front of a car.

He said the victim was hit in the upper body.

“The case is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder,” he said.

“We are still working to determine the motive behind the shooting,” added Comm Shazeli.

He urged witnesses or anyone with information to contact Asst Supt Aminuddin Mahadi at 013 210 4006.
