Man found dead inside locked house in Bayan Lepas

BAYAN LEPAS: A man was found dead inside a locked house at Taman Desa Relau, Lebuh Relau, here this evening.

The body of Ching Weng Yin, 45, was discovered after firefighters helped to open the locked door.

Penang Fire and Rescue Department assistant director of operations and rescue, John Sagun Francis, said they received a call at 5.44pm requesting assistance to unlock the house door.

“When the door was successfully opened, a man was found unconscious and later pronounced dead by medical officers at the scene.

“The body was sent to Penang Hospital (HPP), and the case has been handed over to the police for further action,” he said.
