BINTULU, Sept 21 — Firefighters here succeeded in persuading a man believed to be of unsound mind to descend from the roof of a two-storey warehouse at Samalaju Industrial Park today.
The Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) said acting on a call received at 10.47am, a team from the Samalaju fire station was rushed to the location about 5km away.
“Assisted by police, the team climbed to the second floor and made several attempts to persuade the man to come down.
“He eventually agreed and descended on his own, and was handed over to police for further action,” said Bomba in a statement.
The man did not sustain any injuries in the incident. — The Borneo Post
