KUALA LUMPUR: Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has emphasised that Malaysia’s humanitarian aid plan for Palestine must be carefully and effectively coordinated to ensure that all assistance reaches those truly in need.
The Prime Minister said this during a meeting with Malaysia’s civil society network involved in the “Ops Ihsan” and Sumud Flotilla initiatives at the Prime Minister’s Office in Putrajaya Thursday (Oct 16).
“Following the latest developments in Palestine, I met with representatives of Malaysia’s civil society network leading Ops Ihsan and the Sumud Flotilla to coordinate immediate humanitarian assistance efforts for Palestine,” he said in a Facebook post Thursday.
Anwar said with wisdom, efficiency and a strong sense of solidarity, these efforts will help ease the suffering of the people of Gaza while symbolising the compassion and humanitarian spirit of Malaysians towards the Palestinian cause. – Bernama
