Malaysians aged 18 and above will get another round of RM100 Sumbangan Asas Rahmah (SARA) aid in February, says Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim.
He said the RM100 will be channelled to 22 million Malaysians in the middle of February.
This will benefit those celebrating Chinese New Year and Muslims making preparations for the Ramadan month, he said.
Anwar said a total of RM15 billion has been allocated for the SARA initiative next year, an increase boosted by savings generated from the targeted diesel and RON95 subsidies.
He also said some nine million Sumbangan Tunai Rahmah (STR) recipients will receive RM100 each month throughout next year, totalling to RM1,200.
Some one million STR recipients under e-Kasih will meanwhile get RM200 a month, or RM2,400 through the year.
Singles will meanwhile get RM50 a month through SARA.
