KOTA BARU: A Malaysian was among three people arrested by Thai police today after they were found with Yaba pills during a raid in Sungai Golok town. The two other suspects are Thai nationals aged 32 and 35.
According to a Thai police spokesman, the raid took place at a house on Chontharakhot Road at about 12.30pm local time after a public tip-off. A police team found the three men inside and seized a total of 17 Yaba pills.
The 28-year-old Malaysian was found with three pills, while the two Thai men had five and nine pills respectively. All three will be charged with possession of a Category 1 narcotic (methamphetamine) without legal authorisation.
The suspects and the drugs were handed over to the Sungai Golok police station for further action.
