KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 15 (Bernama) — Malaysia welcomes all international delegates to the Global Halal Summit (GHaS) 2025, which runs from tomorrow until Sept 26, with 92 recognised halal certification bodies and participants from 47 countries.
Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi said the presence of ambassadors, policymakers, academics and industry leaders at the summit reflects the global commitment towards advancing the halal ecosystem.
“It is an honour to host you in Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya. Malaysia is proud to serve as a strategic bridge for integrity, sustainability and resilience in the halal world and together with you, we can elevate halal excellence to even greater heights,” he said in a Facebook post today.
Ahmad Zahid, who also chairs the Halal Industry Development Council of Malaysia, extended a warm welcome to the delegates and hopes that their participation would foster new knowledge, partnerships and opportunities that benefit their respective nations while contributing to a sustainable and trusted global halal industry.
This year’s summit carries the theme ‘Integrity, Sustainability and Resilience’, serving as a key platform for dialogue and collaboration among halal stakeholders worldwide.
