Malaysia calls in TikTok on online sale concerns

KUALA LUMPUR: Social media application TikTok will be called to federal police headquarters, Bukit Aman, tomorrow.

Communications Minister Datuk Fahmi Fadzil said this was to discuss certain issues arising on the platform, especially in relation to sales of TikTok Shop items.

“We will meet TikTok tomorrow in Bukit Aman.

“We don’t want people to be able to buy certain things on the platform and then receive something else,” he said at a forum here today.
