PUTRAJAYA: The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) has recommended that several senior military officers face charges following the completion of investigations under Ops Star and Parasite.
The case papers were referred to the deputy public prosecutor’s office today.
MACC Chief Commissioner Tan Sri Azam Baki said the commission had submitted its investigation papers along with recommendations for prosecution.
“We now await further instructions once the office has reviewed the investigation papers in full,” he said when contacted today.
The probes are related to allegations of corruption and abuse of power involving the Armed Forces Welfare Fund and Defence Ministry procurement tenders.
