PETALING JAYA:
Works minister Alexander Nanta Linggi has denied issuing a letter for a “gratuity payment” to be made to a certain individual.
Nanta said the forged document had started circulating on July 28, and advised the public not to be misled by it.
He said it constituted an act of impersonation.
“I wish to categorically state that the said letter is false and was never issued by the ministry or by myself in my capacity as the works minister.
“The ministry has never issued any official invitation or correspondence pertaining to such a gratuity payment ceremony,” he said in a statement.
He said his ministry was cooperating with the authorities in their investigation into the forged letter.
