KUCHING, Sept 20 — Several roads here will be closed on Sept 27 to make way for the Live Cat Parade 2025, scheduled from 6pm to 10pm.
Kuching district police chief ACP Alexson Naga Chabu said the event will see participants parading through the city streets with their pet cats.
“The road closures and diversions will affect Jalan Market–Jalan Power, Lebuh Java–Jalan Gambier, Lebuh Temple–Jalan Main Bazaar, and Jalan Courthouse (Plaza Merdeka),” he said in a statement today.
He advised motorists to avoid parking along the affected roads, plan their journeys in advance, and use alternative routes to reduce congestion. — The Borneo Post
