KOTA BARU: The Kelantan government has extended its congratulations to Perikatan Nasional’s (PN) sole Pas candidate, Datuk Dr Aliakbar Gulasan, for his historic victory in the Karambunai state seat in Sabah.
Pas made history yesterday when its candidate under the PN banner, Aliakhbar, won the Karambunai seat.
In 2020, Aliakbar became the first Pas member to be in the Sabah Assembly when he was brought in as a nominated assemblyman.
Kelantan Menteri Besar Datuk Mohd Nassuruddin Daud described Aliakbar’s success as a significant milestone for Pas supporters nationwide.
“PN and Pas have described this as a blessed victory and a testament to the years of sacrifice by the party’s machinery in Sabah.
“This victory is a beautiful gift from Allah and carries deep meaning for everyone who upholds the Islamic struggle,” he said.

Nassuruddin, who is also the Meranti assemblyman, said Pas’s journey in Sabah had long been a lesson in perseverance, dedication and sacrifice.
“The win carries a heavy responsibility that must be shouldered together.
“It must serve as a catalyst for strengthening Islamic education, outreach and political engagement in the future,” he said.
