It was reported yesterday that the Terengganu government will enforce a statewide ban on the sale of all products from Aug 1.

The Kedah government will discuss banning sales in the state in its executive council meeting next week, says menteri besar Nor.

He said it was a serious matter, given the information available on the greater dangers posed by vapes, compared with cigarettes, Harian Metro reported.

“If possible, we want to follow in Terengganu’s footsteps. They say vapes are very dangerous, more so than cigarettes.

“There are many chemicals in vapes. Some people mix (the liquid) with drugs. This is very dangerous,” he was quoted as saying at an event in Sungai Petani today.
