KOTA KINABALU: Parti Kesejahteraan Demokratik Masyarakat (KDM) has announced Yabri Onos as its 40th and final candidate, who will contest the Kemabong seat, said its secretary-general Willie Jude Junaidi.
Yesterday, the party unveiled its first 39 candidates at a hotel.
Yabri, 49, is expected to face Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) incumbent assemblyman Datuk Rubin Balang, Parti Solidariti Tanah Airku’s Hasmin @ Azroy Abdullah, and Parti Warisan’s Burnley Balang.
Willie said KDM had initially named Datuk George Guntarik as its candidate for Inanam, but the party’s top leadership has since decided to replace him with Lewis Wong.
Sabah will know the full list of contenders for all 73 state seats when nomination takes place tomorrow.
The Election Commission will open 25 nomination centres, with the process scheduled between 9am and 10am.
