Justin slays defending champ to reach Taiwan Open quarter-finals


KUALA LUMPUR: Justin Hoh stormed into the Taiwan Open quarter-finals after upstaging defending champion Lin Chun Yi in Taipei on Thursday.

The world No. 45 Malaysian produced a brilliant 21-17, 21-18 win over the world No. 17 Taiwanese shuttler in 46 minutes.

It will be Justin second straight quarter-final appearance at the Super 300 tournament.

Justin will meet ‘s Jeong Hyeok Jin or Taiwan’s Wang Tze Wei in the last eight on Friday.
