PUTRAJAYA: Johor princess Tunku Tun Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah Sultan Ibrahim paid a royal visit to the Housing and Local Government Ministry here.
The daughter of His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia, and Her Majesty Raja Zarith Sofiah, Queen of Malaysia, was welcomed by Minister Nga Kor Ming and ministry secretary-general Datuk Wira M Noor Azman Taib.
During her two-hour visit, Tunku Tun Aminah engaged in a productive discussion with Nga, addressing several issues.
“The minister touched on several issues related to community development, the green initiative, and strategic cooperation for the betterment of the rakyat during the discussion session with Tunku Tun Aminah.
“He also presented the ministry’s report card for last year, highlighting the main initiatives and the impact of programmes for the rakyat, including the National Landscape Day 2024 on May 25 last year.
“The event was launched by His Majesty, King of Malaysia, and graced by Tunku Tun Aminah,” the ministry said in a Facebook post on Thursday (May 8).
Tunku Tun Aminah also took the time to oversee several Fire and Rescue Department assets displayed on the ministry’s compound.
“The assets are a symbol of the department’s readiness in ensuring the safety of the public,” it said.
Nga also presented Tunku Tun Aminah with a souvenir from the ministry before accompanying her for a feast, held in a respectful and friendly manner.
“The ministry is grateful for the visit and expresses its gratitude towards Tunku Tun Aminah, who was willing to spend the time with Housing and Local Government Ministry officers and personnel.
“We hope this good relation will open up more opportunities for meaningful collaborations towards developing an inclusive and prosperous community,” it said.
