KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 9 (Bernama) — Professional mixed doubles pair Jimmy Wong-Lai Pei Jing again fell short of landing their maiden title, suffering another heartbreak after a hard-fought final at the Korea Masters badminton championships 2025 in Jeonbuk today.
The third seeds, playing in their seventh final this season, were stunned 22-24, 18-21 by home favourites and eighth-seeded Kim Jae Hyeon-Jeoung Na Eun in 54 minutes of the Super 300 title clash at the Wonkwang University Cultural and Sports Centre.
Jimmy and Pei Jing, who paired up in March, have now finished as runners-up seven times this year, having also played the bridesmaid’s role at the Vietnam International Challenge, Phuket International Series, St Denis Reunion Open, Macau Open, Indonesia Masters I and Indonesia Masters II.
